Wild Canada Goose Down - St Genève James Bay Duvet

From $567.00

Please note: The photos on this page feature the Cotton Jacquard encasement. See our Embassy Duvet for photos of the Batiste encasement.

The James Bay down is the rarest down available anywhere on Earth, even more rare than Eiderdown. It is delicately hand collected by the Cree First Nations in the Canadian north, under special license from the Canadian government. St Genève is proud to support their traditional practices by making these beautiful duvets with their down.

At 700+ loft the airy cashmere coloured down is uniquely Canadian, and it's phenomenal clinging ability creates a duvet with extraordinary insulating power. Only the largest down clusters are used which makes the James Bay duvet wonderfully light and cozy.

All of our products are carefully hand filled and sewn by the expert hands at St Genève with careful attention paid to every detail. They are known around the world for their exceptional quality.

Comes with your choice of two high quality encasements:

Option 1) Batiste Cotton Blend imported from Germany containing botanic TENCEL™ lyocell fibers. The benefits of these fibers are numerous: sustainably produced, soft to the skin, smooth to the touch with lavish radiance and flow.

Option 2) 100% Cotton Jacquard also imported from Germany. This 100% cotton fabric is truly luxurious. The German milling process is known for producing only the most comfortable and breathable cotton.

We firmly recommend using a clean duvet cover at all times and changing it often to preserve your duvet.

Certified under the ZURGUARD® system, all of our down products are guaranteed hypoallergenic. Our James Bay down products also include a special Certificate of Authenticity. It certifies that 100% of the down inside has been collected by the Cree First Nations people, from wild Canadian Geese under special license from the Government of Canada.

PLEASE NOTE: All of our pillows and duvets are made-upon-order, by hand. Please allow up to 3 weeks production time for us to ensure that your product is held to the highest standards. We strongly urge you to read our Purchasing GuideProduct Care Guide and Terms Of Sales, before submitting your order.

DOWN DUVET FAQ:

What is the right size duvet for my bed?

We have a purchasing guide here that will help you determine the right size for you.

Are down duvets better than synthetic?

Yes, they have a very unique ability to insulate and regulate temperature. There is no bedding material on Earth as resilient and responsive as natural down. It is also more environmentally friendly than synthetic materials.

Will I be allergic to a down duvet?

Our bedding is hypoallergenic. It is very important however to keep our products protected from dirt and dust which attracts dust mites that cause allergies. Always use a duvet cover and wash your covers frequently.

How can I be sure it is made with genuine goose down?

Look for the Downmark® label of authentication. This certificate ensures that you are purchasing genuine down bedding.
